Iranian Commander: US Targets in ME within Our Striking Distance

Senior Iranian Brigadier General Amir-Ali Hajizadeh confirmed that the US targets in the Middle East region are within the striking distance of Iran's missiles.
"We don't feel the need to increase the range of [our] missiles; and targets are fully within the range of our missiles," said Brigadier General Amir-Ali Hajizadeh, the commander of the Aerospace Division of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps [IRGC].
In reaction to anti-Iran verbal threats by some US authorities that the military option is still on the table, and recalling that the US has bases in the region, the commander said, "The US can never wage war against us; and in case of any mistake, by God's grace, it is us who will be the winner in the [battle]field."
"We have been identifying all their strong and weak points for 30 years, and have been planning for that," he said.
Hajizadeh said Iran takes the threats by the enemy seriously and remains on the watch.
He said, however, that, "A part of the Americans' threats comes to please Zionists; and a part of them is for domestic consumption; but what is important is that they [the Americans] are aware of and acknowledge our capabilities and deterrence power," said the commander.
Additionally, he said the proxy wars waged by Washington are aimed at destabilizing the region.
"While this strategy [waging proxy wars], which is pursued via Takfiri terrorists in the region, has created some problems in some Islamic countries, in fact, it shows that the US's potential to get engaged in direct wars has diminished," Hajizadeh said.
Elsewhere in his remarks, the senior general reiterated that Iran knows no boundaries in its missile sector.
"We set no limitations for ourselves in the domain of missile [development], and the IRGC's missile drills and exercises are implemented based on an annual calendar on a non-stop basis," he said.
He then touched upon the demands to inspect Iran's military facilities, and said making such demands is aimed at infiltrating into the country's sensitive sites and gaining access to information in strategic domains, including the missile sector.
"The IRGC and the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran won't capitulate to the enemy's excessive demands; and as announced in the past, we will never allow inspections of [our] military sites," Hajizadeh said.
