Herzog: Netanyahu Failed, He should Resign

"Israeli" opposition leader Isaac Herzog lashed out at Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu late Tuesday over Palestinian riots.

"The Jaffa [Yafa] riots are very serious, and must be condemned outright. They are another example of Netanyahu's loss of control and of the deterioration in personal security," Herzog, head of the Zionist Union Knesset faction, said in a statement.

He further added: "We have to change this reality. Netanyahu is weak and cannot guard the security of "Israel"."

"I support every step to smash terrorism. And I am for strong measures. The problem is that there is no horizon that can change the situation, such as the dramatic step of meeting with the King of Jordan, the president of Egypt and the Palestinian President. There is currently a rare regional with moderate Arab states who are entreating us".

Former foreign minister Avigdor Lieberman, head of the Yisrael Beytenu party, said the protest proved that Palestinian incitement against "Israel" was having an impact even a short distance from central Tel Aviv.
