MP Hubballah stresses on the need to participate in the Arab Summit
Source: Nowlebanon.com, 19-03-2008
MP Hassan Hubballah of the Loyalty to the Resistance bloc stressed the need for Lebanon's participation in the Arab Summit with the highest level of representation possible.
"The Lebanese delegation must present the opposition and majority's points of view on the solution to the present crisis," Hubballah said.
He added that Lebanon is part of the Arab world. "If we attend, we will be fulfilling our natural role."
"The opposition will not take any potentially escalating measures. Yet if the pro-government party takes any interesting measures, it will be considered as closing dialogue's door, and the opposition will no longer be bound by commitments," Hubballah said, adding, "Then the opposition will take democratic and popular measures."
