Wahhab sees Lebanon headed for "Volcanic Eruption"
Source: Nowlebanon.com, 19-03-2008
Former Minister Wiam Wahhab said that the appointment of replacement ministers would be another spark in the Lebanese situation. Following his meeting with Former Prime Minister Omar Karami, Wahhab said that Arab League Secretary General Amr Moussa developed the foundations for an unspoken agreement between the opposition and the ruling alliance on the grounds that "this incomplete government" facilitated the lives of citizens and did not exercise the powers of the presidency.
"If the government breaches the agreement developed by Amr Moussa, I would think all of Lebanon is at the brink of a volcano. This is a serious matter, which the opposition must neither waive nor tolerate," Wahhab added.
Whether current Prime Minister Fouad Saniora attends the upcoming Arab Summit or not, he continued, would make no difference. "When did Lebanon ever have a distinct opinion in the Arab Summit?" Wahhab asked.
