Strugar: Situation in South Calmest in Weeks
Source: Al Manar TV, 20-03-2008
UNIFIL Senior Adviser Milos Strugar described the situation on Lebanon's southern border as the calmest at this stage. Strugar was speaking to Al-Manar on the 30th anniversary of the UN force mission in Lebanon. "We have spoken with everybody and they all told us that they don't want war in the region and that they are committed to UN resolution 1701. Of course, the past few weeks have been the calmest at this stage if it were not to 'Israeli' air violation of Lebanon's airspace. However on the ground, there were no significant incidents," Strugar said.
