Neglecting the "Israeli" crimes against Palestinian people, Emirate is to open an "Israeli" diplomatic mission in the capital, Abu Dhabi, in the coming weeks.

’Israel’ to Open Diplomatic Mission in Abu Dhabi!

A senior "Israeli" official told Haaretz reported on Friday, that the first official and visible mission comes after years of discussions and has been officially accredited to the International Renewable Energy Agency [IRENA], which is based in the city.

On Tuesday the director-general of the apartheid entity's Foreign Ministry, Dore Gold, visited Abu Dhabi to participate in the biannual IRENA's Council meeting.

While the meetings discussed future activities and budgetary issues of the members of the organization, the real purpose behind Gold's trip was to finalize the opening of "Israel's" mission, including meeting with the Director-General of IRENA, Adnan Amin to discuss it.

IRENA defines itself as an "intergovernmental organization that serves as a platform for international cooperation," and according to a senior "Israeli" official quoted by Haaretz, one of Tel Aviv's conditions for participating in it was that its presence in the UAE would be unhindered and they would be allowed to open a diplomatic mission in the Arab country that would be accredited to IRENA.

According to the official, Rami Hatan has been appointed to head the mission, adding that the location of the offices are undergoing final preparations before the formal opening.

"Israeli" Foreign Minister Spokesperson Emanuel Nachson confirmed the mission, saying that "Israel" has opened a diplomatic mission to the Energy Agency, which is based in Abu Dhabi. That's it."

One "Israeli" official said it was a long way from being a full diplomatic posting, saying it was "half a step out the door."

The UAE and "Israel" have reportedly held secret discussions about warming ties for several years.

In January 2010, Uzi Landau became the first "Israeli" cabinet minister to visit the UAE when he went to participate in an IRENA conference in Abu Dhabi.

In early November "Israeli" opposition leader Isaac Herzog said that common enemies and interests provide a historic opportunity for a "NATO-like" alliance between "Israel" and "moderate" Arab states.
