’Israeli’ Forces Detain 17 Palestinians in WB Attacks
Local Editor
"Israeli" occupation forces carried out a range of predawn attacks in West Bank towns and villages, detaining Palestinians in a series of raids, and preparing for demolition of the home of a Palestinian man whom they claim carried out an operation earlier this month.
In parallel, Palestinian security sources reported that "Israeli" forces raided the town of Beit Fajjar, southern Bethlehem from where they detained three citizens.
In addition, occupation forces detained other three citizens from their homes in the city of Bethlehem.
Also in the same area, enemy forces detained another Palestinian after raiding and searching his home in Janata, and another youngster from the Aida refugee camp.
The occupation army claimed that fifteen of those detained in the occupied West Bank were accused of taking part in demonstrations against "Israeli" military forces.
In all, thousands of Palestinians have been detained since the beginning of October in one of several moves taken by Zionist authorities to quell the revolutionary operations that continued into December.
Meanwhile, prisoners' rights group in the occupied area reported significant overcrowding in the enemy's prisons since the increase in detentions, as well as higher rates of transferring prisoners between jails.
On the other hand, the practice of demolishing family homes of Palestinians claimed to have conducted operations against the occupation forces has been criticized by nongovernmental groups.
