MPs say Berri is still calling for dialogue
Source: NowLebanon.com, 2-04-2008
MP Michel Moussa of the Development and Liberation bloc headed by Speaker Nabih Berri said that the latter is calling for dialogue based on the Arab initiative.
"A solution cannot be reached except through dialogue between the Lebanese," Moussa told the Voice of Lebanon radio station.
"Berri wants to enhance inter-Lebanese dialogue, as it is essential, but foreign support is required," he added.
On the other hand, MP Ali Khreis of the same bloc told Radio Liban Libre that Arab leaders should be committed to the implementation of the Arab initiative.
"Any delay in its implementation is not in Lebanon's interests," Khreis said.
He added that in the event of an ordinary session in the parliament, only two things will be discussed: the formation of a national-unity government and the adoption of a new electoral law.
