’Israeli’ Planned Land Grab in Occupied WB Condemned by US!
Local Editor
The administration of US President Barack Obama condemned "Israel's" planned land grab in the occupied West Bank.
It was on Wednesday that the "Israeli" apartheid regime announced it approved the expropriation of some 370 acres of agricultural land near the Palestinian city of Ariha, located near the Jordan River in the occupied West Bank.
In response, the US State Department Spokesman Mark Toner said the "Israeli" decision is against its commitment to the so-called "two-state solution".
Earlier this week, US ambassador to the Zionist entity Dan Shapiro slammed "Israeli" authorities for unjustly treating Palestinians, and grabbing their land.
Shapiro on Monday raised "questions about "Israel's" long-term intentions" in the occupied West Bank, saying the US administration is "concerned and perplexed" by the Zionist settlement policy in the area.
Relatively, the United Nations and most countries regard the "Israeli" settlements in the besieged West Bank as illegal because the territories were captured by the "Israelis" in the war of 1967 and are hence subject to the Geneva Conventions, which forbids construction on occupied lands.
Meanwhile, the continued expansion of "Israeli" settlements in occupied Palestine created a major obstacle for the efforts to establish peace in the Middle East.
In parallel, more than half a million occupiers live in over 120 illegal settlement colonies built since "Israel's" occupation of the Palestinian territories of the West Bank and East al-Quds.
