MP Khalil: Berri initiative is procedural mechanism of Arab Initiative

MP Ali Hassan Khalil of the Development and Liberation bloc headed by Speaker Nabih Berri stressed that holding on to Berri's dialogue initiative and maintaining contacts between factions in essential in order find a solution.
"Berri initiative complements the Arab initiative," MP Khalil said in a statement.
"The problematic point during the last four-party meeting was that the majority of the committee itself rejected the 1960 electoral law," Khalil said, referring to the meetings held between Arab League Secretary General Amr Moussa, MPs Michel Aoun and Saad Hariri and former President Amin Gemayel at parliament.
He also said that MP Michel Aoun "is a main pillar in the opposition and is entrusted over dealing in the political crisis dossier."
