Iran: GCC Made a ’Mistake’ Labeling Hizbullah as Terrorists

Local Editor
Iran's deputy foreign minister said a decision by a Saudi-led bloc of Gulf states to label the Hizbullah a terrorist organization is a "mistake."
Iranian state TV Thursday quoted Hossein Amir Abdollahian as saying the Gulf Cooperation Council's move was a "new mistake" that would undermine peace in the region and the unity of Lebanon. He said Iran was "proud" of Hizbullah.
On Wednesday, a statement from GCC Secretary-General Abdullatif al-Zayani said the bloc decided to implement the terrorist designation alleging that Hizbullah performed hostile acts within its member states.
The GCC ruling brings Gulf states in line with the US, who also consider Hizbullah a terrorist group.

Support for Hizbullah
I am from Vancouver,Canada and I wanted to say that Hizbullah is not a terrorist organization. Hizbullah has helped the people of South Lebanon get rid of the occupying Israeli army and has also helped the Palestinian People fight against Israeli apartheid. At the present time Hizbullah is fighting against the Terrorists in Syria. It is the USA that is supporting terrorists and Israeli apartheid and should be condemned not Hizbullah.- Related News
