Lebanese newspapers touched on the above-mentioned crises taking place, in addition to the arrest of two new employees in the Airport security apparatus, suspected to be involved in plotting for some terrorist activities in the country. The newspapers also followed up on the activity of terrorist groups that have been trying to recruit young people to carry out terrorist attacks in the country and prepare ground for Daesh [the Arabic acronym for the Takfiri "ISIS" group] to enter.

AS-SAFIR: Country's Security Agencies Should Be Supported, Forces to Stay in Control

General Security chief Maj. Gen. Abbas Ibrahim told As-Safir newspaper on Monday that "the strategy being adopted by Lebanon on the security level focuses on continuous pre-emptive and precautionary measures that aim at preserving the security of Lebanon.

According to the paper, Ibrahim has called for "providing the country's security agencies with their needs since these are the reason behind the relative stability Lebanon is enjoying."

He underscored that the security forces should be ready and stay in control, and that it should not show counter-reaction. He further assured that there is ongoing cooperation between the different security apparatuses in the country to thwart any terrorist attacks.

"It is enough to carry out a quick comparison between the security situation here and in the region to find out the importance of the work carried out by the agencies," Ibrahim told As-Safir daily published on Monday.

"Based on information we have received, we are pursuing several terrorist networks, and we hope to accomplish more achievements in terms of fighting terrorism" he said.

Ibrahim's words took place days after a dangerous terrorist cell was uncovered in the North by the General Security.

Also, the newspaper reported that the "Airport Security apparatus" and in cooperation with the Lebanese Army Intelligence arrested two workers at the airport, who were detained over suspicion of contacting "terrorist parties". This, according to the paper, took place simultaneously with the uncovering of a terrorist cell that used a religious school in north Lebanon as a front to operate.

AL-AKHBAR: Cell Recruiting Minors for Suicide Attacks, Terrorist Operations

During the past two weeks, different stories were uncovered, revealing that Daesh is resorting to different means and methods to carry out its terrorist plots in Lebanon.

According to al-Akhbar newspaper, the General Security Forces have arrested a number of people involved in a terrorist cell, whose mission was to recruit young and minor people to take part in attacks as operators or suicide-bombers and prepare ground for the terrorist group Daesh in Lebanon.

According to sources, the network located in Akkar [North of Lebanon] was being directed by terrorist Omar al-Satem who lives in Syria's Raqqa.

The terrorist group was preparing for carrying out attacks against the Lebanese Army in the Baddawi area, reported the sources. The alleged religious school was being used to recruit and train the teenagers.

The General Security detained Lebanese Bakr S., Khaled Kh., Ahmed M. and A. Mhanna, and the Syrian Mohanad G, said the sources.

The newspaper pointed out that one of the terrorists who were arrested, known as Bakr S. was recruited by a Lebanese lady who has adopted the "jihadi ideology", after she encouraged him to join the lines of al-Nusra front to fight in Syria.

Bakr said that the lady paid him a sum of money so that he can pay for his transportation from north Lebanon to the northeastern border town of Arsal and from there to the camps of the al-Nusra group in the outskirts.

AL-JOMHOURIA: Illegal Internet Scandal Discussed Today; Data being Hidden

Al-Jomhouria newspaper on Monday reported that the illegal internet scandal will be discussed during Monday's telecoms committee meeting, noting that new information revealed proves that data related to the illegal networks has been hidden.

According to the source, Financial Prosecutor Judge Ali Ibrahim charged 22 people on Saturday over links to the illegal internet scandal. Lebanon's state-run news agency reported that the 22 individuals were charged with illegally installing networks and squandering public funds. The case was referred to Mount Lebanon's First Investigative Judge Jean Fernini.

Telecommunications Minister Boutros Harb last month announced that several internet providers across Lebanon were operating illegally and that "Israel" was using the networks to spy on the country.
