Hajj Hassan accuses government of prolonging crisis

MP Hussein Al-Hajj Hassan said the only means to a solution to the political crisis in Lebanon is through national partnership.
Hassan said the government, which he described as "the American trusteeship team," intentionally prolonged the crisis following the instructions of "their masters in Washington."
At a political symposium organized by Hizbullah in Beirut's southern suburbs, Hajj Hassan said that the UN envoy for the implementation of Resolution 1559, Terje Roed-Larsen, consciously neglected "Israeli" violations and attacks, focusing instead on "data and information he himself doubted." MP Hassan said Larsen's recommendations on UN Security Council Resolution 1559 were predetermined to serve the UN's "biased objectives."
"Is this the role of the United Nations and the UN Security Council? Is this international organization entitled to abandon its neutral role? Is it a coincidence that Larsen's bias is always for the benefit of the Zionist enemy of Lebanon?" Hassan asked.
Hajj Hassan said US Assistant Secretary of State David Welch's statement on the upcoming "hot summer" in Lebanon was a clear sign of "evil in the American administration."
