Aoun: Ruling bloc is not loyal to its stances
Source: NowLebanon, 29-04-2008
MP Michel Aoun, head of the Change and Reform bloc, insisted on knowing the ruling bloc's representative for the dialogue sessions, but he did not say whether or not he would participate himself.
Commenting on the majority's insistence on electing a president on May 13, Aoun said that imposing such a condition rules out the need for dialogue.
"This could be anything but dialogue," he told the Lebanese daily As-Safir.
"The majority is not loyal to its stances. We want them to adopt a stable position. As for us, it is well known that we are loyal to our opinions," he added.
Aoun ruled out the possibility of electing a president during the May 13 session. "So far, nothing is promising in this regard," he said.
"The pro-(US backed) government party is not ready to accept participation yet," Aoun added.
