Lebanese former minister and key opposition figure Suleiman Franjieh said that Hizbullah was trying to avoid what has happened in the country. "We used to ask Hizbullah to take action in the street but the party was always reluctant," Franjieh said Wednesday during an interview with OTV. He stressed that what took place recently was mere provocation against Hizbullah. "They (ruling bloc) want to drag Hizbullah to an internal problem to justify their request for international interference. Hizbullah knows very well that there sides that are trying to push it into using its arms internally and the goal of asking for international interference is to disarm the resistance," he stressed. Franjieh also warned that if a settlement is not made soon, "then we should expect an internal war that would last for long years."
