Former MP Arakji: Mufti Kabbani Divided Sunni Sect

Former MP Adnan Arakji said that Mufti Kabbani does not have the right to talk on behalf of all the Sunnis in Lebanon. He accused Sheikh Kabbani dividing the Sunni sect in through his adoption of a specific Sunni group, adding that Dar al-Fatwa should care for all Sunnis alike.
In a statement, Arakji asked Mufti Kabbani: "Aren't the inciting and dividing statements of Mount Lebanon Mufti Mohamed Ali Jouzou enough, so that Mufti Kabbani pushes Dar Al-Fatwa into the abyss of sectarian conflict...to fulfill the US scheme aiming at causing strife amongst Muslims in general?"
Arakji urged all Arab and Islamic countries mentioned in Kabbani's "inciting call" to disregard his comments and called on all Sunnis in Lebanon to perceive the dangers of the conspiracy that is targeting their fate and the future of their country.
