Lebanese Army Officially Requests Government Revokes Decisions

In light of entrusting the Lebanese army with looking into the two controversial decisions by Fouad Saniora's unconstitutional government, the army command said in a statement that it was revoking the pertaining to the Airport's security and the communications network of Hizbullah, and called for the withdrawal of armed militants from the streets. It said the head of the airport security, Wafik Shokier, would remain in his post and that the army would look into Hezbollah's communications network. The army also instructed all army units to take necessary measures to preserve security.
