Wahhab: Dialogue could begin once rebellion in Serail is over ~ Jumblatt must pay for crises
Source: Nowlebanon.com, 12-5-2008
Former Minister Wiam Wahhab said that there is no Sunni-Shia war, and said that Druze leader MP Walid Jumblatt has driven the Chouf Mountains into an adventure that could result in their destruction.
"Jumblatt must pay for this, and a simple apology is not enough. He has to leave, and we are ready to help him," Wahhab said at a press conference.
"If the Mountain is under threat, my weapons will be ahead of Jumblatt's in defending it," he added.
Wahhab called on Army Commander General Michel Suleiman to assume his responsibilities. "There is a rebellion in the Grand Serail against his authority. He must enter the Serail and oust Fouad Saniora."
"The Serail is a red line, but not for long," Wahhab said, adding that dialogue could begin once the "rebellion" in the Serail is over. "Then we will see if legislative or presidential elections will be held first."
"Amr Moussa is a small agent who has sold himself to Saudi Arabia for a small amount of money," Wahhab jabbed.
"It is better to negotiate with the US, because they are the ones making the decisions," he added.
