"You're talking about something that doesn't exist to us". With these words, Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri's political advisor MP Ali Hasan Khalil replied to a question whether the opposition has received the Arab Committee proposals. In the same context, an opposition source expressed strong annoyance from the mentioned proposals. The source noted that the opposition called on the Arab Committee not to present specific proposals since this would make reaching a solution tougher.
Lebanon is really a country with characteristics unfound in any other place in the universe. The opposition, mainly Hizbullah, has agreed to dialogue and has been making concessions for the ruling bloc to agree on partnership in Lebanon.
"I believe that the opposition has shown a great deal of nobleness when it acted as if it did not make any achievement on any side. On the other hand, the ruling bloc should not be asking for compensation and a political price for its defeat, because no one considers it defeated," Gebran Bassil, the Free Patriotic Movement political official told Al-Manar.
