Nicolas: Saniora cannot be the PM of Lebanon again
Source: NowLebanon.com, 21-05-2008
MP Nabil Nicolas of the Free Patriotic Movement said that Prime Minister "Fouad Saniora holds sole responsibility for all that has happened in the past," ruling out the possibility that he will form the new cabinet.
"The ministerial statement will hold the same national principles," Nicolas said. "It is not acceptable to remove the weapons of Hizbullah, since we do not have the military power to defend ourselves from 'Israel'," he added.
Nicolas, speaking from the site of the opposition's downtown demonstration, said that "What happened is the first step towards the formation of the state and the return of partnership in a balanced manner."
"Lebanon is the only winner, and although we prefer a better electoral division of Beirut, we are happy with the deal, and it is the first step towards giving back people their rights," Nicolas said.
"Saniora cannot be the PM of Lebanon again," he said.
