Senior Iranian cleric hails Hizbullah political victory

Iranian cleric and Assembly of Experts member Ahmed Khatami welcomed the Doha Agreement, declaring that, "The political victory achieved by Hizbullah is not less important than its military victory in the 33-day July war in 2006."
"The lesson to be taken from this victory is that resistance leads to victory and constitutes the only path for people to rule themselves," he added.
Khatami also accused some Arab states of taking negative stances on the latest incidents in Lebanon, claiming that, "This has caused mischief to Hizbullah and Iran." "At the end of the 18-month sit-in, Hizbullah has managed to achieve its demand for the establishment of a national unity government," Khatami noted.
