Following a series of threats issued by Hezbollah Secretary General His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah to bomb the ammonia tank in Haifa in any future war with the Zionist entity, the ammonia crisis is back. The crisis comes after the entity's leadership complied with the demands of environmental organizations and the municipality of Haifa, closing the tank for two months. This time the crisis is the result of air pollution and the emission of nitrogen oxide due to the use of fuel.

’Israeli’ Website ‘nrg’: Haifa Air Pollution Increased Due to Lack of Ammonia after Sayyed Nasrallah’s Threats

In this regard, the Zionist site "nrg" said that "in the wake of the ammonia crisis in ‘Israel' and while the entity, the municipality of Haifa and "Haifa Chemicals" are conflicting with each other on the issue of the continued use of the ammonia tank, data published by the ‘Haifa District Municipal Association for Environmental Protection' and the Environmental Protection Ministry showed a sharp rise in the emission of nitrogen oxides from fuel combustion."

The so-called Ministry of Environmental Protection claimed that "the decision of the Regional Court to close the ammonia tank for two months before the initial date resulted in a shortage of ammonia in the plants that needed it to reduce the emission of nitrogen oxides. For example, in the Haifa refineries, the amount of pollution increased above its allowable rate." After the website contacted the ministry, the reply was that "the ministry informed the court and in turn asked the factories to be prepared and settle the matter. The ministry is currently examining the implications of the matter and is studying its steps according to the law."

For his part, the CEO of the "Haifa District Municipal Association for Environmental Protection," Ofer Dresler, told ‘nrg' that "Due to the shortage of ammonia, the association is working on monitoring the emission of pollutants and will inform the authorities when needed."

The site added "The results that show high levels of air pollution in Haifa Bay due to lack of ammonia worries environmental organizations and ammonia experts."
According to the chairman of the committee of experts Prof. Ehud Keinan "The Zionist economy needs very little ammonia. There are other ways to get it through domestic export."

The site continues, "The activities of the Haifa Chemicals plant have been stalled for more than a month and the workers are coming to the factory and are producing nothing. The continuous lack of ammonia following the decision to immediately close the tank because it is a ‘ticking time bomb' and not making any possible alternatives, leave the ‘Israeli' economy without ammonia. So, factories are forced to use other solutions that increase environmental pollution. Among those affected by lack of ammonia are refrigeration stores and hospitals."

The site adds "There is a conflict between the Ministry of Environmental Protection and the Prime Minister's Office with the court to allow the import of ammonia until possible alternatives are resolved for the Haifa Bay factories to continue working, mainly the Haifa Chemicals plant which uses mostly gas."

A discussion nowadays is taking place in the regional court where Haifa Chemicals and the Ministry of Environmental Protection are demanding that the ammonia tank in Haifa be filled with quantities of up to 10,000 tons of ammonia until the alternatives are found, but the Haifa municipality objected to bringing in a new ammonia vessel and requested alternative sources of importing ammonia to the entity under the pretext that it is a dangerous container operating without a work permit or a building permit.
