TEHRAN--Iran on Sunday warned it may revise cooperation with the UN nuclear watchdog, expressing disappointment over the agency's recent report on its peaceful nuclear program.
Iran's former top nuclear negotiator Ali Larijani, who was elected parliament speaker on Sunday, said that certain aspects of the IAEA report suggested that, "services of some countries are trying to mislead the agency".
Speaking after Sunday's parliamentary session, Larijani said that "this active misleading of the agency will harm both Iran and IAEA".
He said that Iran has been warning the IAEA inspectors about the false feeding of information by US and ‘Israeli' intelligent services, "but they kept getting the wrong information and we used to clarify everything according to the law."
"Iran does not like this happen and will devise another solution," he added.
Iran Foreign Ministry Spokesman Mohammad Ali Husseini also said that his country expected the UN nuclear agency IAEA not to give in to Western pressure in its latest report on the country's nuclear program.
Speaking at his weekly media briefing, Husseini said: "If it was not for the pressure from one or two countries, the agency could have made a better report which would not have given any opportunity for some countries who are seeking pretexts to put pressure on us."
The International Atomic Energy Agency, in a report to the UN Security Council last week, said that Iran was allegedly stonewalling investigators and possibly withholding some information.
Iran, a signatory to the Nuclear None-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), insists its nuclear program is for peaceful purposes and is resisting a US-led push for halting Uranium enrichment.
