MP Kanaan: Ministries will no longer be monopolized by one group
Source: Nowlebanon.com, 04-06-2008
MP Ibrahim Kanaan was interviewed by OTV. During the interview he made the following statements:
"Intra-Christian problems can be solved easily. What matters is the government's plan of action and the course it will draw for Lebanon. All sects will participate in the decision-making process.
For the past three years, we have been accused of treason. Finally we have reached an agreement over a package deal by which Christians are getting some of their rights.
Kanaan also added, "The electoral law was not raised in order to waste time, but because it became an essential element of the solution.
Some ministries must be freed [from the control of factions]. Ministries will no longer be monopolized by one group.
The new reality is the outcome of the political vision that now exists and not the latest incidents [in May]."
