MP Ali Khreis of the Development and Liberation bloc headed by Speaker Nabih Berri said there have been no contacts between the opposition and Prime Minister Fouad Saniora over the formation of the cabinet.
"The general atmosphere does not indicate the existence of crucial problems," Khreis told Voice of Lebanon radio station.
"Yet, some problems must be solved very soon so that the government can be established as soon as possible and start its work," he added.
Khreis denied any disagreement between the Free Patriotic Movement and Amal Movement, "especially over the Health Ministry."
Commenting on talks that Qatari assistance might possibly be sought over the formation of the government, Khreis said PM Saniora was very clear when he said that things are proceeding in a normal way.
"It is evident that PM Saniora has started a dialogue with the pro-government party. There might be some problems within their ranks, and I do not think that there is a problem with the opposition, as some are trying to say," he added.
