MP Al-Mekdad: Incidents aimed at eroding the security aspects of the Doha Agreement
Source: nowlebanon.com, 09-06-2008
Member of the Loyalty of the resistance bloc MP Ali Al-Mekdad commented on the recent security incidents in an interview with LBC television. He stated the following:
"What happened yesterday in the Bekaa was a provocation directed to the residents. Someone was passing by with his car in Saadnayel when a number of young people attacked him with stones and knives. Later on, his house and the houses of some other people, all of whom had already left their houses, were attacked with hand grenades."
Al-Mekdad added, "Security must be the chief demand in the country. Are these incidents aimed at eroding the security aspects of the Doha Agreement?"
He also added, "The security services did not react when the road in Saadnayel was blocked, and I blame them for this."
