The Loyalty to the Resistance bloc member Amin Cherry declared to OTV the following statement:
The primary obstacle in the way of establishing the government is the pro-government party.
PM Siniora's proposed two-basket solution for the establishment of the government is a trap for the opposition. Its aim is relieving the majority of the problem and handing it to the opposition, and establishing a problem between the president and the opposition. We reject this completely.

According to custom, sovereign ministries are divided among sects. The most representative of the Shia are the Development and Liberation bloc and the Loyalty to the Resistance bloc. Therefore, it is their right to be given a sovereign ministry. Among Christians, the Change and Reform bloc is the most represented, and it has the right to be given a sovereign ministry, too.

The PM, who was commissioned with establishing the government, is bound by duty to get in touch with all blocs and give them their rights. If a party has an objection, it is Saniora's responsibility to resolve it.

The Ministry of Telecommunications represents 35% of the state's income. It must not be handled in the future the way it was by the present telecommunications minister. The resistance does not object to legalizing its telecommunications network. It is the cabinet that decides on the matter of privatization, and we are part of it. It is not a matter of controlling the state's telecommunications sector.

The Memorandum of Understanding between the FPM and Hizbullah is permanent and was not based on private interests. It will be reflected through a cross-regional alliance during the legislative elections. There is a solid understanding between Amal, Hizbullah and the FPM on the matter of the government.
