Qaouk: We want participation... even at the expense of our share
Source: Nowlebanon.com, 13-6-2008
"We want partnership and participation... even at the expense of our share," Hizbullah official to southern Lebanon Sheikh Nabil Qaouk said on Friday. "We do not want to be granted anything by anyone, and Hizbullah does not compete with anyone for authority."
Qaouk said Hizbullah did not aim at distorting the form and content of the Doha agreement, and emphasized the party's support for the immediate formation of a government.
"The phase of exclusivity in governance and control are over, and we are facing a new page and a new formula produced by the Doha agreement," he added.
Qaouk accused "some people" of attempting to sow discord in the opposition ranks, but said the opposition was coherent and had strategic vision and a "conviction that there is no solution to the Lebanese crisis by effective partnership."
