MP Khalil hopes for restoration of "normal life"
Source: nowlebanon.com, 16-06-2008
MP Ali Hassan Khalil of the Liberation and Development bloc underlined the importance of completing the implementation of the Doha agreement and the formation of a government as "an attempt to restore normal life and to begin to address the basic issues the country is facing."
After meeting with former Prime Minister Salim al-Hoss, Khalil said he expected to see the cabinet come together soon.
On possible Qatari interference in Lebanese affairs, Khalil said, "I do not think we have reached the stage where Qatar needs to enter the country." The MP thanked Doha for its aid and attention, but said that responsibility for political settlement rested on Lebanese political forces.
