MP Nawwar al-Sahili of the Loyalty to the Resistance bloc stated to OTV that, "The history of Rice's visits to Lebanon is not decent, especially if we recall her statements on the birth pangs of a new Middle East while martyrs were falling."

Sahili added, "The US has a big project for the region, but it is moving from one defeat to another. Its objective is protecting the ‘Israeli' entity, and the Resistance is a reaction to it."
