MP Nicolas: President is dealing with political situation "as if dismantling a bomb"
Source: nowlebanon.com, 22-06-2008
MP Nabil Nicolas of the Change and Reform bloc, headed by MP Michel Aoun, noted that the opposition has given the president two ministers in the government in order to strengthen his authorities, while the majority has only given him one minister.
"Legislative and ministerial seats must not belong to anyone," Nicolas told the NTV, while saying that the two proposals of PM Fouad Saniora over the establishment of the government were a treachery.
He also said that the establishment of the government is the responsibility of PM Saniora, and President Michel Suleiman.
"The establishment of the government is easy, for there is a roadmap set in the Doha Agreement and we are seeking its implementation," he added.
"Yet, we cannot blame the president if no progress has been made yet," Nicolas said while arguing that President Michel Suleiman is dealing carefully with the situation, "as if he was dismantling a bomb."
"However, PM Saniora bears responsibility over the delay in establishing the government," Nicolas declared.
