MP Raad: Suleiman deems resistance a source of strength

President Michel Suleiman underlined the importance of Lebanese solidarity of in addressing the current political, economic and security crises.
 
Suleiman said "the "Israeli" enemy" was "the primary beneficiary" of any crisis in Lebanon. "Whenever disagreements occur among the Lebanese, "Israel" feels satisfied that it has achieved its objectives," he added.

After meeting with a delegation representing the Loyalty to the Resistance bloc, headed by MP Mohammad Raad, the president stressed the necessity of continuing dialogue among the Lebanese. He also noted that "the national resistance" was "a source of strength for all of Lebanon."

Suleiman called for complete cooperation with and assistance to the army and security forces to prevent further clashes and restore the "reconciliation adopted in the Taif Agreement."

He also focused on the role of media and political leadership in promoting national reconciliation and not fuelling differences.
