Loyalty to the Resistance bloc confirms positive step in cabinet formation

"If Speaker Nabih Berri is optimistic about the government, we are optimistic," Loyalty to the Resistance Deputy Amin Chirri stated on Friday.

"There are certainly positive steps... which we consider to be an indicator of political stability in Lebanon," he added.

After visiting Roman Orthodox Archbishop of Beirut, Elias Aad, with a Hizbullah delegation, Chirri said there were several proposals his party had discussed with all their political rivals, blocks for the formation of this government."

On the prisoner swap with ‘Israel', Chirri only said the ‘Israeli' media said ‘Israel' would hold a cabinet session on Sunday to discuss the matter.

"There is no direct contact between us and the ‘Israeli' enemy, which enacts massacres and still occupies Lebanese territory. There is no direct contact and there will be no direct contact. There will be no agreement between us and the ‘Israeli' enemy," he concluded.
