Iran says "Israel" unlikely to enter another adventurism
Source: IRNA, 02-07-2008
'Israel' is almost unlikely to enter another adventurism, Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said.
"The possibility of 'Israel' entering another military struggle is almost zero," Mottaki told reporters in New York.
He stressed that Lebanon's victory in the 33-day 'Israeli' aggression on southern Lebanon in 2006 "has smashed the legend of 'Israel's' invincibility" and has faced the Tel Aviv regime with legitimacy crisis.
Noting that 'Israel' is currently more vulnerable than any other times, Mottaki said after their humiliating defeat at the 33-day war against Lebanon, 'Israel' was "looking for different subjects to overshadow its defeats."
"We do not believe that 'Israel' is in a position to make another military attack in the region," Mottaki said.
