The Republic President General Michel Suleiman was paid a visit by al-Hajj Hussein Khalil, the Political Aide to the Secretary General of Hizbullah Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, and hajj Wafik Safa, Chairman of the Coordination and Liaison Committee of the party.

They passed on Sayyed Nasrallah's greetings, and briefed him on the details relating to the exchange of Lebanese prisoners and detainees in the Zionist enemy's prisons, which will take place in the coming days.

President Suleiman congratulated the resistance on this achievement, stressing it will be added to the series of victories accomplished by the resistance in confronting the 'Israeli' enemy, and gave Lebanon more immunity to foil hostile schemes that target Lebanon and the Lebanese.

Also, the President gave the delegation his greetings to pass on to Sayyed Nasrallah, congratulating him on the successful liberation of prisoners and going back their homeland.
On the government subject, hajj Khalil pointed out: "We reached agreement on two points:

1. The necessity to speed up the process of forming the government as much as possible, without being hasty, because it is an important national necessity.

2. The need for direct communication between parties and not through mediators, because direct communication could lead to sound results in order to achieve the formation of a national unity government."

Regarding the question about pressuring Gen. Aoun to be convinced, he said, "There is nothing to convince him with; when opposition factions confer, we seek what holds the higher national interest, and not to pressure one another into being convinced on this or that matter.

There is direct communication among opposition parties. Also, it is required that communication between the appointed Premier and those involved in forming the government with all the Lebanese sides, the Lebanese opposition included."
