Iran's foreign minister Mohammad Javad Zarif on Friday night held separate phone conversations with four European leaders to discuss Washington's move to re-impose sanctions against Iran and Europe's attempts to counter the measures.

The officials were Federica Mogherini, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy; Heiko Maas, Germany's Minister of Foreign Affairs; Margot Wallström, Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs; and Anders Samuelsen, Danish Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Mogherini and the European ministers once again reiterated their commitment to the 2015 Iran nuclear deal and emphasized the efforts to maintain financial channels with Tehran and the continuation of Iran's oil and gas exports.

They further highlighted the importance of the finance ministers' commitment to Europe's financial mechanism to save Iran nuclear deal and said the mechanism will be operational in the coming days.

Relatively, Zarif and Samuelsen discussed the recent allegation of carrying out terrorist operations leveled by Denmark's police against Iran.

While dismissing the groundless claim, Zarif pointed to the Zionist regime's apparent attempts to damage Iran's relations with European countries and expressed Iran's readiness to cooperate with the Danish security authorities to bring to light the plot.

He also noted to the responsibility of the Danish government to arrest and prosecute the terrorist group which has claimed responsibility for Ahvaz attack and described as unacceptable Danish government's support of the terrorists.

Samuelsen, for his part, reiterated Denmark's support for Iran nuclear deal and Europe's financial mechanism to continue economic cooperation with Iran.
