Sheikh Qaouk: Dialogue will concern the defensive strategy, not weapons~ The Resistance will draw limits on "Israeli"
Date: 06-07-2008
Sheik Naim Qaouk, Hizbullah's official in South Lebanon, ruled out any discussion over the right of the Resistance to defend itself against ‘Israeli' aggression, saying that the only thing that will be discussed is the defensive strategy that Lebanon will adopt.
"The international community and the international envoy, Terry Roed Larsen, are convinced that it is impossible to talk about disarming the Resistance. The most important things to discuss are the ways that Lebanon can benefit by regaining the land that it is still occupied," Qaouk said.
He also said he is confident that the Doha Agreement will be implemented in its details.
"The project of the Resistance - which is about to achieve a new victory for Lebanon, Palestine and the nation through the swap deal with ‘Israel' - will enter a new phase, for it is responsible for guaranteeing that the Shibaa Farms and the Kfar Shouba Hills are recovered," he added.
He also declared that the Lebanese people have a duty to stop ‘Israeli' violations of Lebanese sovereignty.
"The Resistance will draw the limits on ‘Israeli' piracy," Qaouk said, in a hint to the last weeks kidnapping of a Lebanese shepherd from the Shibaa Farms. The shepherd was released by the ‘Israeli' troops few hours later.
