The Political Aid of Hizbullah Secretary General, Hussein Khalil, disclosed Monday that during the "Israeli" aggression, the Parliament majority leader MP Saad Hariri sent a message via one of his assistants to Hizbullah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah asking him for a "word of honor" that Hizbullah hands over its weapon in order to stop the war. In an interview with al-Manar Channel Monday night, Khalil said, "we denounced and found such request strange, and our answer was: Is it possible that one whose called Saad Hariri, son of Rafik Hariri, asked for such request during these days at a time the "Israeli" warplanes are striking the southern suburbs?" He added that maybe Hariri "could not stand the American pressure."
Concerning accusations that Hizbullah is defending killers of Rafik Hariri, Khalil said that when the four Lebanese officers were arrested, Hariri's aids told Hizbullah that those four have planned and participated in the assassination so the answer was "if they were involved, let them be punished and we didn't interfere, so how would be protecting Hariri's killers?". He asked: "Why is it allowed for Russians or others to discuss the system of the International Tribunal while we are forbidden? Does Hariri approve on an article that opposes Lebanon's sovereignty? Why do they want to hasten the draft law?"
Answering a question concerning the request for sharing with the ruling bloc after accusing it of treason, Khalil said: "The aim is to get Lebanon out of the riot and the foreign hegemony, and the one-third will guarantee this issue because there are major and serious decisions."
Concerning the speech delivered by Sports and Youth Minister, Ahmed Fatat when he described Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah as Nayroun, the political aid said: "Marjayun barracks' graduate is the last one who has the right to talk about Rome. How could he talk after he tried to issue a decree from the Cabinet concerning the removal of the resistance's weapon? This affirms his involvement with the outside."
Khalil mentioned that the Lebanese National Opposition gave the ruling bloc few days to form a national unity government, otherwise it will think of the transitional government, affirming that the current one failed in politics, administration, security and economy, indicating that "the ruling bloc turned to its last paper which is creating a sectarian disturbance but it will not succeed."
Khalil assured that "the opposition is running the battle of freeing the political decision from the foreign hegemony." At the end, he addressed Saniora saying: "Enough obstinacy."
