MP Marwan Fares: Saniora obstructing President Suleiman’s presidency
Source: nowlebanon.com, 11-07-2008
In an interview with Al-Manar Television, MP Marwan Fares commented on the government formation deadlock stating that, "Ali Kanso is the whole opposition's candidate for the cabinet, not only the Syrian Social Nationalist Party's candidate."
Fares added, "We in the Syrian Social Nationalist Party and in the opposition are insisting that Ali Kanso be nominated in the government. There won't be a cabinet without Kanso. Neither Saniora nor anyone else can bring down the Doha Agreement."
Fares also commented on Saniora saying, "PM Saniora is obstructing the Doha Agreement, which means he does not agree to it. Therefore, Saniora is obstructing President Suleiman's presidency."
