AL-QUDS--Unidentified attackers opened fire on a group of ‘Israelis' in east Al-Quds late Friday, injuring 6 people, police said.

The injured, including one with life-threatening injuries, were taken to the hospital, according to police.

The shooting occurred near the Lion's Gate, an eastern entrance into Al-Quds' Old City.

Armed guards accompanying the tourists fired back in the direction of the attackers, police said, without giving further details.

No group has claimed responsibility for the shootout, but ‘Israelis' held Palestinians responsible for the incident.
