In an interview with Orange TV this morning, Former Hizbullah MP Ammar al-Moussawi commented on the ongoing prisoner swap saying, "The prisoner swap deal between Hizbullah and ‘Israel' is a continuation of the Resistance's victory in the 2006 July War."

Moussawi added, "Liberating the Shibaa Farms from ‘Israeli' occupation is a victory for the Resistance. We consider placing the land under UN management an incomplete liberation."

On the topic of the resistance weapons, Moussawi stressed that, "If Hizbullah's weapons can no longer be used to liberate land, then they will stay on as a defense system."

On the national unity government that has finally seen light, Moussawi noted that, "Important and unsolved issues should not be tackled in the governmental plan of action, but should be discussed in a national roundtable dialogue."

"We cannot say that we have a government; there is only a cabinet pending the drafting of the government's plan of action, and then the parliament will give its vote of confidence," he added.

Moussawi commented on the Lebanese army chief saying, "We had our doubts when the US army declared its intention to train the Lebanese army, which is why we need to choose an army commander we can trust."

"Because the opposition has the guaranteeing one-third vote, the government cannot make stupid decisions, like the one it made on May 7," Moussawi said, adding that, "The pro-government party's maneuvering ahead of the cabinet formation was aimed at weakening General Michel Aoun."
