114 Arab Martyrs Honored in Lebanon and Syria
Source: Al-Manar TV, 23-7-2008
From one victory to another. From Palestine, to Lebanon and finally to Syria, the remains of more than a hundred Arab martyrs end their decades long journey after they were released in the framework of Operation Al-Redwan between Hizbullah and the Zionist entity. The caskets draped in Palestinian, Syrian, Iraqi, Jordanian, Tunisian and Nigerian flags crossed into Syria Wednesday after receiving an honoring farewell on the Lebanese side.
At the Lebanese-Syrian border point, thousands of Syrian and Palestinians were lining up, celebrating the big victory with the participation of officials from Hizbullah, Palestinian factions and Arab movements.
The head of Hizbullah's political council Sayyed Ibrahim Amine Sayyed stressed the choice of the resistance in the region has proved rightness by retrieving the rights of the Arab and Islamic nations.
Relatives of the dead were showering the coffins with rice and rose petals as black-clad Muslim women were uttering cries of joy, watching the convoy snake toward the Syrian capital Damascus for a burial ceremony.
