TEHRAN--Philippine deputy foreign minister Rafael Seguis said here Wednesday that Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) declaration has been adopted and all members fully agree to Tehran proposals.
Seguis said NAM members had unanimously agreed to and ratified Iran suggestions and the statement will be raised in the Foreign Ministers meeting for final approval in hours.
Non-Aligned countries also ratified Wednesday their implacable solidarity with the cause of the Palestinian people and advocated for fulfilling UN resolutions to stop "Israel's" outrages in the occupied territories.
A declaration adopted by NAM Committee on Palestine energetically rejected "the blatantly genocide that commits daily by the "Israel" army against the Palestinian civilians."
The referred committee, led by Cuba as a president of the forum, had the participation of 11 of 12 members, eight of them foreign ministers.
Foreign ministers requested the application of UN resolutions demanding the creation of an independent Palestinian state with capital in east al-Quds, and supported an international conference to be held to discuss the issue seriously.
Cuban Foreign Minister Felipe Perez Roque stated that the Palestine question is undoubtedly the cornerstone of the prevailing complex situation in the Middle East.
In a statement, Palestinian National Authority Minister of Foreign Affairs Riad Malki termed very productive the Committee's deliberations for President Mahmoud Abbas' intention of starting inter-Palestinian negotiations.
Malki said that the NAM agenda will back an understanding among several Palestinian parties, particularly between rival groups of Hamas and Fatah.
The two-day 15th ministerial conference of NAM opened with President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's speech in Tehran on Tuesday. It will wrap up work on Wednesday issuing a final statement.
Iran's Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki also appreciates NAM states' support of the Islamic republic's peaceful nuclear program as being 'most precious' for the country.
Mottaki said: "NAM support of Iran's nuclear program is considered as a great message for all the countries."
"New ideas about peace, the prevention of war and the economic development of member countries are introduced during NAM gatherings," he said.
"These ideas can be very important for the international community," he added.
Some 80 ministers of the 118-member bloc and representatives of main international organizations gathered in the Iranian capital to discuss problems facing the world and make efforts to tackle global challenges.
