MP al-Hajj Hassan: Wasting time over the ministerial statement will not change Resistances stance over its weapons
Source: Nowlebanon.com, 31-7-2008
MP Hussein al-Hajj Hassan of the Loyalty to the Resistance bloc said Thursday that the ministerial statement was a national issue and the drafting committee must finish its work as soon as possible.
"There must be a national consensus over the matters that are on the agenda of the ministerial committee, so the government can start working," Hassan said after visiting Education Minister Bahia Hariri.
"Some factions have opinions over some matters in the ministerial statement and we hope that all matters are solved," he added.
However, he emphasized that wasting time over the ministerial statement will not change the Resistance's stance over its weapons, and expressed the hope that the statement be clear in dealing with such matters.
He added that disagreement over any of these matters could be discussed at a later stage.
