Hizbullah Delegation Visits Sudan΄s Beshir
Source: Al-Manar TV, 12-8-2008
Sudanese President Omar Hassan Bashir expressed great appreciation to Hizbullah's stances over Sudan. Beshir was speaking during a meeting with a Hizbullah delegation headed by MP Hussein Hajj Hassan. "We praise Hizbullah's consolidation with Sudan and its people in facing outside schemes aimed at the country's security, unity and vested rights," President Beshir said.
For his part, Hajj Hassan said the visit comes in the framework of consolidation with Sudan to confront western pressures, particularly US pressure that targets the country's sovereignty and security as well as its riches, through "mobilizing the ICC prosecutor" against President Bashir. Hajj Hassan said the move was a dangerous precedent that is legally, politically and rationally invalid and worthless. The Hizbullah MP condemned the ICC prosecutor, stressing "as a resistance movement in Lebanon, we stand together in facing the US hegemony and to defend the interests of our peoples, lands, sovereignty and sanctities and to support our peoples in Palestine, Iraq and Sudan."
