MP Mohammad Raad, head of the Loyalty to the Resistance bloc said that "Israel's" internal problems due to the failure of the "Israeli" army in the July 2006 war "constitutes a new chance for us in Lebanon to extend our understanding in South Lebanon to all Lebanese factions, on the basis of a clear national vision and defensive strategy."
Raad noted that Hizbullah is not exploiting this stance to establish new electoral alliances. "The time of the Three- party and Four-party alliances is gone."
"We want that everyone assumes its responsibilities in order to fortify Lebanon."
Commenting on the defensive strategy Raad said that Hizbullah is seeking to discuss a national defensive strategy in which the Resistance will participate side by side with the Lebanese army and the Lebanese people.
He also stressed the need to fortify Lebanon on the economic, social and administrative levels in parallel with the defensive strategy.
Raad called for a clam dialogue in order to build the state over which Lebanese have agreed in the Taif Agreement.
"We are not seeking to amend this agreement," Raad said, while explaining that Hizbullah is seeking the implementation of the Taif Agreement in order to remove unfairness, racism and the hegemony of some over the others.
