MP Fadlallah: Hizbullah is ready to sign memorandums of understanding with all parties
Source: Nowlebanon.com, 18-8-2008
Loyalty to the Resistance bloc MP Hassan Fadlallah said that "Hizbullah is ready to sign memorandums of understanding with all parties that believe in Hizbullah's positions and principles, as it did with the Free Patriotic Movement."
"The cabinet faces many challenges and the opposition, with its veto power, cannot be ignored," Fadlallah said in a ceremony at Sultanieh Southern village.
"We want to deal with all members of the cabinet to ensure government appointments are made on the basis of understanding and consensus," Fadlallah said, adding that it was particularly important that security positions be filled quickly given the current situation.
Fadlallah also said that his party was eager for a dialogue that would have practical results. "The national defense strategy is not the only issue that needs to be studied," he said.
"We want to build a strong and competent state that is free of all injustice. This is why we want to discuss state-building strategy."
