MP Fadlallah: No preconditions for national dialogue
Source: nowlebanon.com, 22-08-2008
Loyalty to the Resistance bloc MP Hassan Fadlallah said on Thursday that Hizbullah "agrees with those who say that there should be no preconditions for the national dialogue."
"We do not want any preconditions or vetoes on certain topics since all subjects of dispute should be discussed," he said during a meeting at Machgara village.
Fadlallah said he was ready to discuss anything, beginning with the defense strategy in the national dialogue. "Those who are afraid of discussing certain subjects lack clear vision, evidence and capacity to convince."
"We have to define all parties' relations with the state. Some of them have undermined the government's finances and have transformed its institutions into branches of their own parties, while other's defended the country and fought for it," Fadlallah said.
"We want a balanced state, with a strong legal system and a determination to further development projects. We want the national dialogue to be carried out as soon as possible."
