Syria Slams Turkish Arms’ Support to Idlib Militants: Hostile Act Won’t Affect Army’s Push

Syria denounced on Monday the Turkish move of sending armored vehicles loaded with ammunition into the country, heading to northwestern town of Idlib that's part of a government operation on the terrorist groups’ last stronghold.

In this context, the Syrian Foreign ministry called the move a "flagrant Turkish intervention," stating that the Turkish convoy reached Saraqeb, a town north of Khan Shaykhoun early Monday. 

Syrian government troops meanwhile reached the western outskirts of Khan Shaykhoun earlier in the day.
There was no immediate word from Turkey about a convoy headed to Syria.

Turkey backs the Syrian militants and has 12 observation posts in the northwestern Syrian province of Idlib.

The ministry confirmed that "this hostile behavior of the Turkish regime" wouldn't affect Syrian troops' push into Khan Shaykhoun.
