During a ceremony held for laying the foundation cornerstone for the compound of martyr Imad Mughnieh in Tair Dibba town, in the presence of the martyr commander's parents, as well as religious scholars, heads of municipalities, mayors, prominent figures, people of the area and teams of the Imam Mahdi (may god hasten his return) scouts, Hizbullah Executive Board Chairman, Sayyed Hashem Safieddine called "for calm on the level of the whole of the Lebanese arena, and for dealing calmly with all the dossiers that need to be addressed."
He pointed out that: "We are facing a phase of maturing efforts, that necessitate cooperation and earnestness in dealing with subjects such as the daily "Israeli" threats, the economic and social situations, living standards, elections, the electoral law and all the presented files."
Sayyed Safieddine also said: "Today, we need calm and dialogue, tension does not help at all here", while expressing surprise that "some still insist on a tensioning speech, when they very well know that this will not change anything, politically or on the election level."
He thought that "defeated Olmert, has been raising his tone through threats when he was unable to do anything over 33 days" (of the July 2006 war), "today he is in need for ("Israeli") calm in order to benefit from a media venture."
Sayyed Safieddine added that "a raised "Israeli" voice through making threats against Lebanon, its infrastructure and future, and against the resistance and its weapon, is but the language of the fearful and the weak, because he is unable to do anything", further stressing that "these hollow and worthless threats lack credibility. Can a person who was defeated in battle, do anything now after battle?"
